Preparation Time Is Never Wasted Time!

It’s funny how life situations can minister to us. A few months back, I was scheduled to do an interview that I spent quite a few hours preparing for. When the day finally came, I ended up waiting and waiting for their call. When forty-five minutes had passed, I decided to give them a call to inquire about the interview. To make a long story short, the interview didn’t happen. They apologized for not being ready, and offered to interview me the following week. Although it was a bit disappointing, since I was looking forward to the interview, God still had a master plan with my name on it!

You see, the next day I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from another radio host who was both interested and ready to interview me. The next thing I knew, I was on Joy1250 engaging in a lively interview about my upcoming book.

Why am I sharing this story with you? I want you to know that as you prepare to be a wife/husband, you may meet people along your ‘single’ journey who may not be ready to enter into a courting relationship with you. Don’t be disappointed or discouraged by that. Why? Because God has a special person in mind for you that you haven’t met or noticed yet and He wants to pleasantly surprise you with that one when you least expect it.

Never forget: your preparation time is never wasted time!!

“Success always comes when preparation meets opportunity” Henry Hartman.

“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, {36} like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. {37} It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. {38} It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. {39} But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. {40} You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” (Luke12: 35-40)
